Pastor Ed’s bible study on Naaman (2 Kings 5) was a powerful depiction of our condition. Even though I got to reflect over this passage during the week during my DTs, everything clicked and was more powerful for me when Pastor Ed preached on every single point that was so relevant. I’m really thankful for our bible studies and msgs that cover the DT passage of that week because you’re shown so many more things and deeper things about God, yourself, the text, reality, the world and more. I would not have thought about Naaman’s humility as something to apply to myself in terms of “teachability” but that is SUCH an important virtue to have, that we can all have as we recognize the true state that we are in. That was refreshing to hear.
