Recap: A2F Spring Kickoff

This past Friday we kicked off the Spring Semester with A2F Spring Kickoff! It was great to reconnect with friends after the long winter-break as well as meet new people checking out our group. We started off the night with Password-Line-Charades. It was non-stop excitement as each team tried to guess all the words as well as unscramble them to get the final “password.”

Afterwards, we got to hear what different members at A2F did over the winter break. Josh described about our domestic mission trip to UC Riverside where we got to help out our friends at UCR’s A2F with their Winter Welcome Night and other welcome week activities.

We also heard from Cynthia, who reported about the inspiring mission trip to our church in Hsin-Chu, Taiwan. As one of the founding members of our Hsin-Chu church, Cynthia was able to give us some perspective on how much has happened in the last couple of years. Hearing about the baptisms of some of the Taiwanese students was very moving.
Lastly, Sue and Brian shared about their experiences going on a mission trip to Cambodia. Many of our group’s members were able to gain a deeper appreciation for all that we have here in the US as well as gain inspiration from the courageous young Christians in Cambodia.

We ended the night with some delicious ice-cream and then braved the rain to have our RSF night! 3 Classes, 1 shot for temporary glory in sports not recognized by the Olympic Committee…the competition was intense! Ultimately, the veteran junior class reigned supreme.

And that was our Friday! Not bad for the first week of school, huh? Keep check’n out our website for upcoming events. See you around!
